Khulna: A construction worker died after falling from the roof of an under-construction building in Khulna today. The deceased was identified as Bazlu, 50, a centering worker and son of Babar Ali from the Kushkhali area in Satkhira Sadar Upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police reported the incident occurred around 12 noon at the under-construction cancer unit building of Khulna Medical College Hospital. Officer-in-Charge of Sonadanga Police Station, Md Rafiqul Islam, stated that Bazlu was tying rods on the roof of the 15-storey building when he suddenly slipped and fell to the ground, dying on the spot.
An inquest report has been prepared, and the body was kept at the hospital morgue. The victim’s family has been informed, and the body will be handed over after completing the necessary legal procedures, the Officer-in-Charge added.
