Construction of Residential Building for Fire Service Officials Begins in Dhaka

Dhaka:Construction has commenced on a 12-storey residential building for Fire Service and Civil Defence officials and employees at the Mirpur Fire Station in Dhaka.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the project was inaugurated by Fire Service and Civil Defence Director General Brigadier General Muhammad Jahed Kamal, who laid the foundation stone and participated in the traditional soil-turning ceremony.

The building, part of a government initiative, is designed to house 44 families in 1,250-square-foot apartments. It will include modern amenities and facilities to accommodate people with special needs.

Senior officials from the Fire Service, Public Works Department, and the Department of Architecture were present at the inauguration ceremony.
