Dhaka: The construction of a modern information complex has officially commenced in the Kasiadanga area of the city this morning. The project, estimated to cost Tk 16.70 crore, is set to feature a seven-storey building developed on 33 decimal of land.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the complex is designed to house office spaces for both district and regional information offices, enhancing the infrastructure for information dissemination in the region. The facility will also include additional amenities such as a Cineplex, a digital lab, a digital archive, and a media hub equipped with audio and video support, including an editing panel. To further support various activities, a conference hall and a training hall will also be part of the complex.
Rashedul Islam, the Executive Engineer of the Department of Public Works, stated that the construction is anticipated to be completed by March 2026, marking a significant enhancement in the region’s information and media infrastructure.
