Rajshahi: Community Bank Bangladesh Community Bank Bangladesh, in collaboration with Bangladesh Bank, has successfully concluded the "Entrepreneurship Development Program" under the "Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP)."
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the closing ceremony, held at the Community Bank Training Academy in Gulshan, highlighted the importance of developing entrepreneurial skills, fostering innovation, and strengthening industrial competitiveness. The event marked a significant achievement in nurturing new business talents, aiming to boost economic growth and innovation in the country.
A total of 23 young and new entrepreneurs completed the course and received certificates from the Chief Guest, Nawshad Mustafa, Director of the SMESPD Department of Bangladesh Bank. The program underscores the commitment to enhancing business competencies and supporting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bangladesh.
The event was presided over by Shamsul Haque Sufyani, Managing Director (Current Charge), CAMLCO, and Chief Operating Officer of Community Bank Bangladesh. The Special Guest at the ceremony was Mohammad Ariful Islam, Deputy Director and Program Coordinator of Bangladesh Bank. Their presence emphasized the collaboration between key financial institutions in promoting entrepreneurship.
Among others present were Hossain-Al-Safeer Chowdhury, Head of SME and Program Coordinator, Manager (Learning and Development) H. M. Mahedi Hasan, and Head of Agri Sharif Hasan Mamun, along with senior officials from Bangladesh Bank and Community Bank Bangladesh. This gathering of notable figures from various sectors highlights the concerted effort to foster a sustainable entrepreneurial environment.
The program was implemented under the initiative of the government, with Bangladesh Bank serving as the executing agency. Financial support was provided by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), showcasing a strategic partnership to enhance the country's economic competitiveness. The initiative aims to develop skilled human resources, promote entrepreneurship, and strengthen the nation's economic framework.
