The driver of a CNG-run auto rickshaw was killed as a truck hit his CNG in Sadar Upazila here today.
The deceased was identified as Md Yasin, 50, hailed from Char Chamita village in the Upazila.
Police said the accident occurred at around 2 pm in Kasid Bari area on Dhaka-Lakshmipur Regional Highway. Md Yasin was rushed to Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital, where the duty doctor declared him dead.
Aminur Rahman, Sub inspector of Chandraganj Highway Thana, said police visited the spot.
The body was handed over to his family members, he added.
