DHAKA: Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed today unveiled the cover of a book penned by journalist Mehedi Hasan Dalim, focusing on the July mass uprising. The book, titled “High Court’s Controversial Judgment and July Mass Uprising,” is published by Bangladesh Law Times and highlights the judiciary’s involvement in the historical events.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the book will be available at the Supreme Court Bar Association’s annual book fair, set to open on January 5. Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed described the book as a significant document on the July mass uprising, noting its unique focus on the judiciary’s role. He expressed gratitude to the author for capturing this pivotal moment in history.
The unveiling event was attended by several notable figures, including Supreme Court special officer Md Moazzem Hossain, the chief justice’s personal officer Md Shariful Alam Bhuiyan, Supreme Court Reporters’ Forum president Mas Udur Rahman Rana, and Ekushey TV senior reporter Shakera Arju Shimu. They joined the Chief Justice in recognizing the importance of documenting the judiciary’s impact on the uprising.
