Dhaka: City Club, Little Friends Club, and PWD Sports Club celebrated victories in their respective matches in the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Championship League football, held across three different venues.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, City Club triumphed over Uttar Baridhara Club with a 2-0 victory at the Fortis Jalshiri ground. The goals were netted by Shahed Mia and Mijanur Rahman in the 8th and 63rd minutes, respectively, clinching the win for City Club.
In a parallel match at the Bashundhara Kings arena practice ground, Little Friends Club defeated Dhaka Rangers Football Club, also with a 2-0 scoreline. The first half ended goalless, but Md Rakib and Rajbongshi found the back of the net in the 65th and 90th minutes, respectively, securing the win for Little Friends Club.
Meanwhile, PWD Sports Club narrowly edged out Farashganj Sporting Club with a solitary goal by Minhazul Karim Shadin in the 71st minute of the match. The game was marked by an incident involving Delowar Hossain of Fara
shganj, who received a direct red card from the referee for unsporting behavior.
