Khulna:A Criminal Investigation Department (CID) inspector, Md Fazlur Rahman, was killed in a road accident when a truck ran over him in the Khan Jahan Ali area of the city this evening.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident occurred as Fazlur Rahman was returning home on his motorcycle after visiting his daughter, a physician at Khulna City Medical College Hospital. The accident happened around 7:30 pm near the Latex Company at Garrison Mor under Khan Jahan Ali Police Station.
Local residents immediately took Rahman to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where the attending doctors declared him dead.
Police have stated that the truck involved in the incident has not yet been located. Officer-in-Charge Abul Bashar confirmed the tragic event and mentioned that an investigation is underway.
