Chinese Delegation Explores Educational Collaboration with Bangladesh

Dhaka: A high-level delegation from Anhui Normal University, China, led by its President Xiong Yujie, met with Education Minister Dr. A.N.M. Ehsanul Hoque Milon at the secretariat office here today. The meeting aimed to discuss potential collaborations in the field of education between the two countries.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the meeting, Minister Milon highlighted that several Bangladeshi institutions, including Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), have achieved prestigious positions in global university rankings. He expressed the government’s ambition to further elevate these standings. The Minister emphasized the current governmental focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), identifying significant opportunities for cooperation with China in this sector.



President Xiong Yujie noted that Anhui Normal University is a leading institution specializing in the professional training of educators. He expressed strong interest in collaborating with Bangladesh to enhance educational quality and provide professional development for teachers. The Chinese delegation assured their commitment to future collaborations aimed at improving educational standards.



The meeting was attended by Education Secretary Abdul Khalek, Technical and Madrasah Education Division Secretary Md. Daud Mia, and other senior officials from the ministry.
