Dhaka: Special Assistants to the Chief Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Abdul Hafiz and eminent economist Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury today visited Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd here. They toured Beximco Pharma’s state-of-the-art pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Tongi near the capital city.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the visit, the special assistants inspected the company’s production line, research and development center, and quality control laboratories. They were briefed on Beximco Pharma’s drug innovation, export operations, and contributions to public health both domestically and internationally.
Abdul Hafiz, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defence and National Integration Development, remarked that Beximco Pharma exemplifies the technological advancement and global competitiveness of the country’s pharmaceutical sector. Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury noted that it is encouraging to see a Bangladeshi company invest in research and development while adhering to international standards, adding that Beximco Pharma not only produces pharmaceuticals but also brings pride to the nation.
During their visit, the special assistants emphasized the importance of strengthening the pharmaceutical industry through collaborative efforts between the public and private sectors.
