Dhaka: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has announced the withdrawal of the suspension of Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim, who serves as the convener of the Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall unit under the Dhaka University branch of Chhatra Dal, bringing him back to his post after over two months of suspension.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the decision was communicated through a notice signed by Md Jahangir Alam, the office secretary of the Chhatra Dal central committee, who holds the status of vice-president. The notice detailed that the resolution to reinstate Hamim was made by the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal central committee.
The notice stated, "The organisational suspension imposed on Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim, convener of Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall unit Chhatra Dal under Dhaka University unit, has been withdrawn. As a result, there are no longer any restrictions on carrying out his organisational activities." This decision was ratified by Chhatra Dal Central President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir.
Previously, Hamim was issued a show-cause notice by the Chhatra Dal central committee on February 27. Following an unsatisfactory response, he was temporarily relieved from his duties on March 4.
