Chattogram:Mahbubur Rahman Shamim, Administrator of the Chattogram Zila Parishad, announced that the council will sustain its efforts to provide support to underprivileged individuals, ensuring that financial difficulties do not prevent access to medical treatment or education.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shamim made this commitment while speaking as the chief guest at a cheque distribution ceremony for educational and medical assistance at the Chattogram Zila Parishad seminar room. The Zila Parishad has a history of offering educational and medical support to those in need and intends to continue these initiatives with regular assistance programs planned every one to two months.
Shamim emphasized that these efforts align with the directives of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, focusing on aiding helpless and underprivileged people to the extent of the council's financial capabilities. Special attention is given to preventing difficulties in accessing healthcare and education due to financial constraints.
Chowdhury Raushan Islam, Chief Executive Officer of the Chattogram Zila Parishad, was present as the special guest at the event, which was moderated by Zila Parishad Executive Officer Khondkar Md. Ikhtiar Uddin Arafat. The ceremony was attended by officials, staff, including Assistant Engineer Md. Jahedul Islam, and the recipients of the assistance.
