Hosts Chattogram district clinched the title of the Sheikh Kamal Cup Chattogram Divisional Handball Tournament 2022 beating Bandarban district 22-20 in the final Wednesday.
At the Chattogram Divisional Women’s Sports Complex here, the winners dominated the first half 11-4. But Bandarban came back strongly in the match in the second half, scoring 16 goals.
Taju and Sohel scored five goals each while Alamgir and Arafat netted three goals each for Chattogram.
Ocho scored eight goals – the match’s highest – and Azad five for Bandarban.
General Secretary of Chattogram Divisional Sports Association (CDSA) Sirajuddin Mohammad Alamgir was the chief guest of the closing ceremony and distributed the prizes.
Area Sales Manager of the tournament sponsor Polar ASM Insanur Rahman was also present.
