Dhaka: Charge sheets in 15 July uprising cases, including five murder cases, have been submitted before the courts.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Police Headquarters issued a press release stating that charge sheets in three murder cases were filed by Sherpur police, while Kurigram police and Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) each submitted one.
Out of the ten cases filed under other sections, charge sheets were submitted by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Barisal Metropolitan Police (BMP), and Pabna district police, with one each. Additionally, Chapainawabganj police submitted three, and both Sirajganj police and the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) submitted two each.
The release emphasized that Bangladesh Police is diligently working to complete the investigation of all other registered cases and to bring the alleged criminals to justice. Senior police officers are reportedly supervising these cases to ensure thorough investigations, particularly those filed during the mass uprising of students and the public.
