Dhaka: Charge sheets in 19 cases linked to the July Uprising have been submitted before the courts, as stated by the Police Headquarters. These submissions include eight murder cases and 11 cases filed under other sections.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the eight murder cases have been distributed across several regions: three in Sherpur, and one each in Feni, Chandpur, Comilla, Kurigram districts, and within the Chattogram Metropolitan Police jurisdiction. The remaining 11 cases, categorized under other legal sections, involve submissions by various police departments. These include one case each by Dhaka Metropolitan Police and Barishal Metropolitan Police, three by Chapainawabganj, two by Sirajganj, and one each by Pabna and Jamalpur district police, with two handled by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).
Senior police officers are actively monitoring these cases to ensure thorough investigations. The Bangladesh Police remains committed to completing ongoing investigations in other cases related to the student mass uprising, aiming to bring those responsible to justice.
