Bangladeshi International Master (IM) Mohammad Fahad Rahman shared the top spot in the 19th International Caspian Cup Masters Chess Category A matches with five other players, securing 4.5 points after the fifth-round matches in Rasht city of Iran's Gilan province Wednesday.
Bangladeshi Fide Master (FM) Mehdi Hasan Parag shared the third spot with 10 other players, collecting 3.5 points.

In the fifth-round matches, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman won against FM Rastbod Ali of Iran; FM Mehdi Hasan Parag drew with FM Sedaghati Mehrdad of Iran.
The sixth-round matches began Thursday at 7pm Bangladesh time.
In the matches, IM Fahad is playing against FM Aradhya Garg of India; FM Mehdi Hasan Parag is facing Manukyan Sevak of Armenia.
