CA’s Spl Assist Abdul Hafiz Visits Puja Mandaps in Mollahat

Mollahat: Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Defence and National Reconciliation Affairs, Lt. Gen. (retd.) Abdul Hafiz, visited several puja mandaps in Mollahat, Bagerhat, during the Sharidiya Durga Puja celebrations. During his visit to the largest puja mandap in the upazila, Gawla Tentulbari, he assured that adequate security measures were in place for the puja. He emphasized that the government has made comprehensive arrangements to ensure that the Hindu community can observe their religious practices without any disturbances.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Lt. Gen. Abdul Hafiz also visited the Joydihi Central Radha Gobinda Temple in the upazila. He was accompanied by Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan, Superintendent of Police Md. Asaduzzaman, Army Major Md. Rafiq, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shyamananda Kundu, and other administrative officials.

Among the political leaders present were BNP Central Executive Committee member Advocate Sheikh Wahiduzzaman Dipu, Upazila BNP President Sheikh Hafizur Rahman, and General Secretary Md. Harun Al Rashid. Their presence underscored the collaborative efforts across various sectors to support the festival's smooth conduct.
