Capital’s Lakes to Be Upgraded for International Standard Swimming: Khasru

Dhaka: BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury announced today that his party plans to upgrade the lakes in the capital to meet international swimming standards if they come to power. This declaration was made at the award distribution ceremony of the Zia Swimming Carnival swimming competition, organized by Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP this morning, as stated in a press release.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khasru further revealed that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has initiated plans to establish sports centers in every district of the country. This initiative aims to promote sports development and enhance athletic facilities nationwide.



Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP convener and former national football team custodian Aminul Haque emphasized the importance of sports in societal development. He stated that sports could play a crucial role in building a harmonious society, and that youth could take a leading role in establishing a prosperous nation.
