Doha: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is attending a roundtable on the Rohingya issue here this morning. The meeting, titled “Social and Environment Challenges Around Forcibly Displaced Populations-The Case of the Rohingya,” is being held at Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Doha from 8 am to 10:30 am (Doha time).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Yunus will deliver an address during the meeting, focusing on Bangladesh’s challenges in hosting forcibly displaced Rohingyas from Myanmar. The discussion aims to address the social and environmental challenges faced by the displaced populations and explore potential solutions.
Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, National Security Adviser Khalilur Rahman, Energy Adviser Mohammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Principal Coordinator on SDG Affairs Lamiya Morshed, and Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam are among the key figures joining the meeting. Their participation underscores the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the humanitarian crisis and finding sustainable support mechanisms for the affected populations.
