Dhaka:A fire erupted in an air-conditioned bus at the Mohakhali bus terminal on Thursday afternoon.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the fire started in the bus's air-conditioning system after it arrived from Sherpur around 1:32 p.m. Anwarul Islam, a Warehouse Inspector at the Fire Service and Civil Defence, reported the incident.
Two units from the Tejgaon Fire Station responded swiftly, managing to control the blaze by 1:46 p.m. The fire was fully extinguished by 2:02 p.m.
Initial assessments by the Fire Service suggest that the fire likely resulted from an electrical malfunction within the bus. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.
