Buddhist Leaders Engage with Chief Adviser on Buddha Purnima

Dhaka: Buddhist religious leaders and the leaders of the Buddhist Religious Welfare Trust today met Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. The meeting took place at the State Guest House Jamuna, where greetings were exchanged between the religious leaders and the Chief Adviser.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain was present during the occasion. On the eve of Buddha Purnima, Prof Yunus extended warm felicitations to the Buddhist community both in Bangladesh and around the world.



Prof Yunus highlighted that this year’s celebrations are particularly significant as the teachings of Lord Buddha on peace, harmony, and unity are increasingly relevant. In a message issued by the Chief Adviser’s Press Wing, he expressed his wish that humanity’s journey forward be guided by understanding, compassion, and joy.
