Koyra: Carrying BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's message of reform and renewal, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Chairman and senior journalist Anwar Aldin has been touring the coastal upazilas of Koyra and Paikgacha - meeting locals and sharing the 31-point outline that envisions a 'new Bangladesh.'
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BNP's nomination aspirant from Khulna-6 (Koyra-Paikgacha) constituency, Anwar, who is also Joint Editor of the Daily Ittefaq, is leading a door-to-door campaign that has drawn attention from residents who are eager for change. Over the past few months, he has traveled from union to union, engaging with people in local markets, tea stalls, and school courtyards, explaining BNP's 31-point reform plan and how it aims to transform the state structure.
On Sunday afternoon, Anwar distributed BNP's 31-point leaflets among residents at Koyra Bazar, where hundreds gathered to greet him. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the role of youth in shaping future Bangladesh and the importance of democracy, progress, and social justice. He stated that BNP's plan would help build a welfare-oriented state.
Anwar noted the people's desire for a society free from extortion, fear, and political harassment, expressing his commitment to support them on the path of transformation. Later, at a view-exchange meeting with local BNP leaders at Koyra Sundarban Secondary School, Anwar stressed the need to earn people's trust and deliver BNP's message to every home in Koyra and Paikgacha.
He criticized the previous ruling party, alleging that the Awami League's rule in the past 16 years had filled the region with corruption and terror, and highlighted the people's eagerness to end this misrule. Anwar outlined his development vision, promising durable embankments, new tourism zones around the Sundarbans, and renovation of roads, schools, mosques, and madrasas if BNP assumes power.
In the evening, Anwar met local journalists at Koyra Press Club and spoke about the challenges faced by the media under the previous regime, noting the newfound freedom after the Mass Uprising. He expressed his intent to improve living standards for the people of Koyra and Paikgacha if elected.
Khulna district BNP Joint Convener Momrezul Islam, BNP leaders MA Hasan, Moniruzzaman Beltu, and Abu Sayeed Biswas, Paikgacha BNP Convener Dr Abdul Majid, and leaders of Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal, among others, were present at the programs.
