BRUR Commissions 7 Student Buses to Alleviate Campus Transport Crisis

Rangpur: Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) today inaugurated seven new buses for carrying the students on the campus.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the buses were provided by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and hired from BRTC on a rental basis. This initiative is expected to resolve the transportation crisis on the campus, bringing relief to students and officials alike.

The inauguration ceremony of the new buses was led by the Vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali. The event was marked by a colorful ceremony, highlighting the importance of this development for the university community.

Prominent figures present at the ceremony included BRUR Syndicate Member and Vice-chancellor of Kurigram Agricultural University, Professor Dr Rashedul Islam, as well as Professor of the Department of Marketing of Dhaka University, Dr ABM Shahidul Islam. Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Showkat Ali expressed his gratitude towards the UGC for their support in providing the buses, emphasizing that efforts will continue to maintain a fair and congenial academic environment for all.
