BRU: Vice Chancellor of Begum Rokeya University Prof. Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali today emphasized the importance of ensuring quality in higher education. He highlighted that the primary goal of students should transcend merely earning a degree; instead, they should focus on acquiring an education that contributes to the nation's development. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof. Shawkat made these remarks during a workshop organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on Professional Integrity for University Teachers, held at the university's academic building-2. The workshop was presided over by Director of University Prof. Dr. Md. Tazul Islam, with Prof. Dr. A.K.M. Fazlul Haque from Daffodil International University contributing as a discussant. Additional director of IQAC Dr. Md. Abdul Latif facilitated the workshop. Prof. Shawkat Ali further elaborated on the essential relationship dynamics between teachers and students, advocating for mutual respect and amity, rather than fear-based i nteractions.
