Mymensingh: Brothers Union Club defeated Chittagong Abahani Limited by 2-0 goals in the Bashundhara Group Bangladesh Premier League football match at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Gambian midfielder Zakaria Darboc gave Brothers Union an early lead with a goal in the 13th minute. The victory was secured after Nigerian forward Mfon Sunday Udoh scored the second goal in the 76th minute of the match.
With this victory, Brothers Union, known for their orange colors, increased their points tally to 18 from 12 matches. Chittagong Abahani Limited, on the other hand, continues to struggle in the league with only three points from the same number of matches, facing relegation threats.
In the first leg of the competition, Brothers Union had also defeated Chittagong Abahani by a similar 2-0 margin, a match that took place at Birshrestha Flight Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.
