Bangladesh Women’s Kabaddi Team Returns Home After Nepal Series

Dhaka: Bangladesh national women’s kabaddi team returned home today after completing a five-match test series against hosts Nepal. Bangladesh, however, lost the test series 3-2 to the host.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh participated in this series as preparation for the upcoming Women’s Kabaddi World Cup to be held in India. The team management expressed that it was an opportunity to identify the team’s mistakes and weaknesses.



The series also helped the players to boost their confidence, which will be beneficial for the World Cup. The Women’s Kabaddi World Cup is scheduled to take place in Rajgir, Bihar, India, from June 1-8.



In the earlier matches, Bangladesh suffered a 41-18 points defeat to Nepal in the first match and a 29-22 points defeat in the second match. However, Bangladesh bounced back with a 26-23 points victory in the third match but lost the series with a 21-17 points defeat in the fourth match. The team managed to restore some pride by beating Nepal 28-23 points in the last match.
