Faridpur: Police on Thursday recovered a bomb-like object from a meat shop beside a polling center at Dumain Bazar in Madhukhali Upazila under Faridpur-1 constituency. Officer-in-Charge of Madhukhali Police Station Fakir Md. Taijur Rahman said police reached the scene following reports and removed the item.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the object, which contained a battery and exposed wires, posed no serious threat. Police suspect that it was placed by miscreants to create fear among people.
