The Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) today (Thursday) celebrated the National Sports Day and Int’l Day of Sport for development and peace in a festive atmosphere in the capital, said a press release.
To mark the day, a colorful rally was brought out from BOA Bhavan in the morning. The rally ended at the same place after passing through Sheikh Russel Roller Skating Complex and various roads.
BOA’s deputy secretary general Ashikur Rahman Miku, BOA’s director general brig. gen. M Samach A Khan (retd.), players and officials of various federations and sports organizers were also present in the rally.
After the rally, flags of Bangladesh, United Nations, IOC, OCA and BOA were hoisted at Olympic Bhaban. BOA’s secretary general Syed Shahed Reza hoisted the national flag, BOA’s deputy secretary general Ashiqur Rahman Miku hoisted the Int’l Olympic Committee’s flag, BOA’s member Asaduzzaman Kohinoor hoisted the Olympic Council of Asia flag, BOA’s member MB Saif hoisted BOA’s flag and BOA’s director general Brig. Gen. M Samach A Khan (retd.) hoisted the UN flag.
