Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-nominated candidate Ershad Ullah has been unofficially elected from Chattogram-8 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 1,52,969 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, his closest rival, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Abu Naser, contesting under the ‘Daripalla’ symbol, received 53,564 votes. The results were announced at the Referendum and 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election 2026 Results Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon area today.
