Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Md Anwarul Haque has unofficially secured victory in the Netrokona-2 constituency during the 13th National Parliamentary Election. Haque garnered a total of 1,71,399 votes, outpacing his nearest competitor, National Citizen Party (NCP) candidate Md Fahim Rahman Khan, who received 67,367 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the results were disclosed at a formal briefing held at the Referendum and 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election 2026 Results Collection and Dissemination Centre, located at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, Dhaka. The announcement marks a significant moment in the election as Haque’s victory underscores BNP’s presence in the region.
