Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today hoped that BNP will build a new Bangladesh through forging unity. “Undoubtedly, unity will be possible among us and we will be successful,” he told journalists at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here after returning home following a week-long medical check-up in Singapore.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fakhrul mentioned that they are expecting a new roadmap for the national elections. He expressed optimism that the elections, which are being shifted from December, will be resolved through discussion. Fakhrul also extended greetings to the countrymen on Bangla New Year, expressing hope for new horizons and possibilities for Bangladesh.
Earlier on April 6, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and his wife Rahat Ara Begum went to Singapore for health check-ups.
