Thakurgaon: BNP Secretary General and candidate of Thakurgaon-1 constituency Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today emphasized that the party aims to prevent the younger generation from being entangled in misguided politics. ‘One party is spreading false information to mislead mothers and sisters. They claim that voting for them will guarantee entry into heaven-such statements are completely false and misleading,’ Fakhrul addressed during an election rally at Kazipara village in Mohammadpur Union, Thakurgaon Sadar.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fakhrul highlighted the plight of women burdened by high-interest loans from NGOs, promising that if BNP comes to power, the party will alleviate their suffering with the introduction of a family card system for women. He also reflected on the past 17 years, describing it as a period of oppression under fascist rule, and urged the people to seize the opportunity to shape their country’s future.

In his message to voters, Fakhrul stated, ‘The country is in your hands-you are the true owners of the nation. Therefore, there is no room for mistakes. You must cast your vote based on the right decision and your conscience.’ The rally witnessed the participation of numerous local leaders, activists, and general voters, reflecting the public’s engagement with the electoral process.
