BNP Pays Tribute to Martyred Intellectuals on Behalf of Khaleda Zia

Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today paid homage to the Martyred Intellectuals on behalf of party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir placed a wreath at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial in Mirpur this morning, marking Martyred Intellectuals Day.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir spoke about the historical significance of the day, emphasizing that the Pakistani occupation forces had attempted to intellectually cripple the nation just before victory, but ultimately failed in their objective. He highlighted the vision of Tarique Rahman for building a new Bangladesh and expressed the party’s commitment to realizing this dream.



Mirza Fakhrul reaffirmed BNP’s dedication to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and democracy, expressing hope that democracy would be restored by overcoming all conspiracies. The event was attended by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Standing Committee Member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, and other senior party leaders.
