Dhaka: A member of the BNP Media Cell's digital team and graphic designer, Tanim Sufiani, has been relieved of all responsibilities on Monday following the publication of information on social media about his previous political activities. The decision was announced in a notice signed by BNP Media Cell Convener Dr. Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, stating that the decision took effect from the day it was issued.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the authorities of the BNP Media Cell came across information published on social media regarding Sufiani's previous political activities. These activities were deemed contrary to professional transparency, mutual trust, and the organisation's internal policies.
In response to this discovery, the relevant authorities decided to relieve Sufiani of all responsibilities at the BNP Media Cell, including his position as a graphic designer on the digital team, effective August 24. The notice explicitly stated that, following his removal, Sufiani would no longer have any representation or association using the BNP Media Cell's name, identity, position, or responsibilities. Additionally, he would have no further involvement in the internal activities of the Media Cell.
