Mongla: Guided by the theme ‘Let the glory of sacrifice shine in our surroundings,’ local BNP leader Zulfikar Ali has personally funded the distribution of nine sacrificial cows across the nine wards of Mongla Municipality on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha. Dr. Lion Sheikh Faridul Islam, State Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, attended the cow distribution ceremony this afternoon as the chief guest.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the sacrificial animals were distributed in the name of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, with the primary objective of seeking the pleasure of Almighty Allah. Speaking at the event, Zulfiqar Ali expressed his hope that the initiative would foster a deeper sense of community spirit.

He noted that the cows were provided from his personal funds to fulfill religious obligations and prayed that Allah would accept this humble effort. He added that the initiative was designed to awaken mutual empathy, sacrifice, and core human values within the local society.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the organizers and guests extended their warm, advance Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the residents of the municipality.
