Dhaka: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has formed a committee to review and coordinate activities related to the boundary demarcation of parliamentary constituencies.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the five-member committee will be headed by party standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan as its convener. This was announced in a press release issued by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
The other members of the committee include Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, former acting secretary of the Election Commission Md Zakaria, former deputy secretary Shamsul Alam, and BNP executive committee member Belayet Hossain Mridha.
The newly formed committee is tasked with reviewing proposed boundary adjustments and ensuring that the party’s stance is accurately reflected in the delimitation process. This development comes amid ongoing discussions about constituency reconfiguration ahead of the next general election.
