Dhaka: The 80th birth anniversary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia will be celebrated across the country on Friday. Known affectionately as 'Mother of Democracy', her significant contributions have been acknowledged by many, and the occasion will be marked with various events nationwide.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, doa and milad mahfils will be organized in mosques and BNP offices throughout Bangladesh to commemorate the day. A BNP press release indicated that special arrangements are in place for a doa and milad mahfil at the BNP Central Office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, scheduled for 11 am, where senior party leaders will be in attendance.
BNP leaders, activists, and supporters from all levels, as well as members of affiliated and associate organizations, are encouraged to participate in the events planned in Dhaka and other regions. The activities aim to honor Khaleda Zia's legacy and her role in the country's political landscape.
