Khulna: BNP-nominated candidate for Khulna-2 constituency, Nazrul Islam Manju, has asserted that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is synonymous with both Bangladesh and democracy.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Manju emphasized the party’s role in the nation’s history and its ongoing commitment to democratic principles. Speaking at a doa mahfil and discussion organized by Ward 19 BNP at Pollimangal Shamsul Ulum Khademul Islam Madrasa, Manju linked the spirit of the 1971 Liberation War to the party’s mission, citing Tarique Rahman’s slogan, “Bangladesh First,” as a guiding principle in overcoming challenges and leading the nation forward.

Manju further expressed that BNP consistently aligns with the populace in efforts to establish democracy, safeguard citizens’ rights, and ensure progress through popular participation and accountable governance. His remarks were made during an event seeking the early recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

In addition to the main event, Manju also participated in doa mahfils organized by the Ward 30 and 22 units of the local BNP, reinforcing his message of unity and democratic aspiration.
