Dhaka: BNP-nominated candidate Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has been unofficially elected from the Chattogram-11 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election, securing 1,15,999 votes. His closest rival, Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mohammad Shafiul Alam, received 76,681 votes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon area today.
