Dhaka: A scientific seminar titled "Role of Gabapentinoids in Neuropathic Pain Management" was held today at the Professor Kamrul Islam Seminar Hall of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Bangladesh Medical University (BMU).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seminar was presided over by the Chairman of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the university, as stated in a press release. The event featured Prof Dr Md Taslim Uddin, President of the Bangladesh Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as the chief guest, while BSPMR Secretary General Associate Prof Dr MAK Azad attended as a special guest.
The seminar included a keynote paper delivered by Associate Prof Dr Md Imamur Rashid, and the welcome speech was given by Associate Prof Dr. Md. Tariqul Islam. The proceedings were moderated by Associate Prof Dr. Md. Nadim Kamal.
A highlight of the program was the felicitation of the new physiatrist (FCPS I MD) and newly-promoted associate professors. Additionally, a video presentation showcased the departmental activities and the role of the department in treating the injured during the July Mass Uprising-2024.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and closing remarks, with active participation from the guests and faculty members.
