Khulna: As severe cold wave continues to disrupt normal life, the Dumuria Upazila Administration here has taken steps to ease the sufferings of cold-stricken people. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sabita Sarker distributed the blankets among poor visiting door to door.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the blanket distribution programme mainly focused on the most disadvantageous people including members of ethnic minority communities, persons with disabilities, children with special needs and orphans.
