TAIWAN: Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan (BKSP) athlete Tamim Hossain clinched the gold medal in the triple jump event at the National School Athletics Championship 2024 currently underway in Taiwan, as announced in a press release. Tamim secured the top position with a jump measuring 14.77 meters. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the championship sees participation from several countries, including Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and host Taiwan. The event highlights the talent and competitive spirit of young athletes from these nations, with Tamim's victory adding a significant accolade to the BKSP's achievements. The BKSP team, comprising ten members, embarked on their journey to Taiwan on November 3. The team is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on November 11, following the conclusion of the competition on November 9. Throughout the event, the team has been under the guidance of coaches Fauzia Huda Juy and Shahadat Hossain Bhuiyan, who have played a crucial role in preparing the athletes fo r this international challenge.
