DHAKA, March 21, 2017 (BSS) - The special service week of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, started on March 17, will continue till March 23.
Biman Sramik League CBA has organized this special service week of the state-run carrier to mark the 98th birthday of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Biman Managing Director and CEO M Mosaddique Ahmed inaugurated the function by cutting cake at a ceremony at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, said a press release today.
Speaking on the occasion, he said Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has established the organization by own that is why all the employees of Biman have to work in combine for its progress.
Referring to different initiatives taken by the Biman, Mosaddique said around 400 workers have already been recruited while procurement of equipment involving Taka 100 crore is under way to improve the service quality of ground handling.
Biman CBA President M Mashikur Rahman said they are always sincere about the service and would provide special assistance to the passengers in the service week.
Biman Director (Service) Atik Sobhan, director (admin) Mominul Islam, general manager (airport service) Nurul Islam Hawlader and general manager (PR) Shakil Meraj, among others, were present on the occasion.
