Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced a delay in the suspension of its regular flights on the Dhaka/Sylhet-Manchester-Dhaka/Sylhet route until March 1, 2026, reversing an earlier decision to cease operations from February 1.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the national flag carrier’s Board of Directors had initially planned to temporarily suspend flights on the route starting February 1, 2026, until further notice. However, a subsequent review of the decision, which took into account the needs of ticket-holding passengers, led to the postponement of the suspension date to March 1, 2026.

The airline assured that affected passengers would receive necessary assistance in accordance with current company policies. This includes options such as travel on alternative flights on the Dhaka-London-Dhaka route, changes of travel dates, ticket refunds, and other related services.

Passengers are encouraged to reach out to Biman’s sales offices in Dhaka and London, contact the airline’s call center at 13636/+88096109-13636, or consult authorized Biman travel agents for support.

Biman expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension and asked for cooperation from passengers and related parties. The airline also assured passengers that they would be informed once regular flight operations on the Manchester route resume.
