Bandarban: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 2.46 lakh yaba tablets, a foreign-made pistol, and five rounds of ammunition during a special operation in the Ghumdhum border area of Naikhyangchhari upazila in Bandarban. At approximately 12:15am, the team spotted a group of smugglers approaching Naya Para near Border Pillar No. 31 and challenged them. The smugglers fled the scene, leaving behind the pistol, ammunition, and 246,000 Burmese yaba tablets worth around Taka 12.50 crore. Legal procedures are underway in this connection, the release said.
