BGB Launches Training for Rajshahi Border Residents

Rajshahi: A month-long training programme on livestock and poultry rearing commenced in Godagari upazila, as organised by the Border Technical and Employment Training Center under Rajshahi 1 BGB Battalion, aimed at creating alternative employment opportunities for border residents. The training was inaugurated at the hall room of Matikata Union Parishad on Sunday.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 20 people, including 11 women, are participating in the training. The programme will provide both practical and theoretical knowledge on modern livestock and poultry rearing, disease prevention, farm management, and marketing techniques.

Lieutenant Colonel Riaz Shahriar, commander of Rajshahi 1 BGB Battalion, stated that the training is designed to help participants become self-reliant by creating self-employment opportunities. Officials involved in the programme mentioned that the primary goal is to enhance the skills of unemployed and able-bodied individuals in the border areas and connect them with legitimate employment opportunities.
