Dhaka: The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has initiated extensive patrolling operations across several key areas of Dhaka city today as part of heightened security measures aimed at maintaining law and order to ensure public safety.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BGB officials have stated that the coordinated patrolling initiative is being carried out to reinforce overall security across the capital and to prevent any untoward incidents. The operations involve increased presence of BGB personnel in strategic locations, working in coordination with other law enforcement agencies.
Members of the public have been urged to remain vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement authorities to help maintain peace and stability in the city. BGB authorities have also requested citizens to promptly share any information that may indicate a threat to law and order by contacting the designated emergency and control room numbers.
The patrolling operations span various educational and community institutions as contact points, including Kalakopa Kokilpari High School in Nawabganj, Kalatia University College in Keraniganj, and Keraniganj Girls’ School and College. Additional bases include Demra Base Camp, Dhaka Mahanagar Mohila College in Lokkhibazar, and Mugda Ideal School and College, among others.
