Chuadanga: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized drugs and other smuggled Indian goods valued at Tk 24.69 lakh during separate anti-drug and anti-smuggling operations in Chuadanga, as stated in a press release today. The operations were carried out on August 22 and 23 by members of the Chuadanga Battalion (6 BGB) in areas under the jurisdiction of the ICP, Baradi, Hudapara, and Darshana BOPs.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the seized items included 19 bottles of Indian liquor, five bottles of Indian Eskap, 5,010 Indian Dexamethasone tablets, 292 Indian Sildenafil tablets, eight Indian sarees, and 105 pieces of various Indian dental products. The total value of the seized goods was estimated at Tk 24,69,500.
The BGB emphasized that the operations were part of its ongoing efforts to prevent drug trafficking and smuggling along the border.
