Dhaka: The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is preparing to hold an official meeting with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to discuss the possibility of the Brazil national team playing a friendly match in Bangladesh and considering the country as a neutral venue for future matches.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a delegation from the CBF arrived in Dhaka on Sunday to assess the facilities. They inspected the National Stadium Dhaka, Bashundhara Kings Arena, and various hotels before departing early Monday. The delegation plans to submit its observations and recommendations to the CBF within the week.

The inspection revealed that the quality of the pitches and infrastructure at both the National Stadium Dhaka and Bashundhara Kings Arena meets the standards required for the Brazil national football team. However, the delegation noted necessary improvements in dressing rooms, technical zones, and security at entry and exit points, suggesting these could be addressed in a short time.

The BFF views the positive feedback from the delegation as validation of its efforts to renovate and enhance the National Stadium pitch through collaboration with a local company. To further elevate the venue's suitability for international teams and players, the BFF intends to coordinate with the National Sports Council for additional infrastructure enhancements.

During the visit's conclusion, a meeting between the CBF delegation and BFF officials took place, focusing on potential cooperation in infrastructure and pitch development, joint coaching programs, sports science, and international friendly matches.

Members of the Brazilian delegation also expressed gratitude towards Bangladeshi football fans, acknowledging their presence at Brazil's friendly matches in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Europe. They expressed optimism that the Brazil national team would receive similar support from fans in Bangladesh if they were to play there.

The BFF anticipates that this visit will strengthen football relations between Bangladesh and Brazil, paving the way for future cooperation in multiple domains.
