Rajshahi: President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Tabith Mohammed Awal has announced plans to uplift the Rajshahi University (RU) stadium. The commitment came during the inauguration of a women’s inter-hall football competition at the RU stadium, where Awal served as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Tabith Awal emphasized the unique status of RU, which boasts the only full-fledged stadium among public universities in the country. The event was organized by the RU unit of Jatiotabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) in celebration of the 81st birth anniversary of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. Several prominent figures were present, including RU Director of Physical Education Rokhsana Begum, RU JCD President Sultan Ahmed Rahi, General Secretary Sarder Jahurul Islam, and JCD Central Organizing Secretary Amanullah Aman.
